1) an .org gets started because a particular staff/department wants or needs to change solutions (ie. Director of Development wants to move from Raiser’s Edge to Salesforce), or

2) an .org has a mandate or opportunity to implement an enterprise technology platform with wide-ranging strategic impact (ie. there is Executive level/Board recognition and support to invest in the right technology to accelerate growth/impact).
