This week, Belmar Consulting celebrates 15 years as a proud Salesforce Partner. This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to our clients and our people, as well as our ability to adapt in a fast-paced industry.
As Salesforce has grown, so have we. When we became a partner in 2010, the landscape was much different from what it is today. Most of our clients needed a basic CRM to track contacts, sales, and customer service. As Salesforce expanded its offerings, Belmar grew along with it.
Today, we see most of our clients looking to overcome business challenges in a much more holistic way. No longer is a single department within an organization operating in a silo; rather, the entire organization is looking at how technology can enable it to deliver services across the board.
By consistently putting our clients first, we have grown into a multi-vertical firm, specializing in Nonprofit and Public Sector. We are extremely grateful to every client who has chosen Belmar as their partner, and we will continue to deliver excellence as we look to the future. We are also incredibly grateful to our colleagues at Salesforce who have put their trust in Belmar to execute on our mission.
Let’s take a look at our journey with Salesforce over the past 15 years.
The Early Days: Formalizing Our Partnership in 2010
We began our journey with Salesforce out of necessity. In the years before our partnership, Belmar had been implementing and consulting on other CRM tools. After repeatedly competing against Salesforce and seeing the power of the platform, it became clear that we needed to stop competing and join them.
On September 25, 2010, while at a conference in Seattle, our CEO, Scott Billows, completed the partnership application, and Belmar officially became a partner.
The First Five Years: Reaching Our 100th Implementation
Business exploded for us in the first five years. We were primarily delivering Sales and Service Cloud solutions to a wide range of clients, including for-profit, and some nonprofit, and public sector. Our work mostly involved replacing on-premise solutions and helping clients unlock the value of the cloud. Most of our early clients were implementing Salesforce for the first time, learning how to shift their organizations from traditional IT to cloud-based tools.
When we look back at the scope of our early projects, it’s interesting to see how much has changed in the past 15 years. Most of our clients were simply trying to replace manual processes, and using out-of-the-box Salesforce capabilities, they were able to achieve their objectives.
The Public Sector Practice: A Formalized Expansion
A few years into our Salesforce partnership, we were fortunate to land our first Public Sector client. This led to an amazing relationship with a large entity, unlocking years of work and a large backlog of projects. As our presence in the Public Sector grew, we formalized a dedicated practice specializing in the various use cases we were seeing in government, including case management, grants management, and constituent communications. With a focused team, we quickly expanded our footprint within this market. Today, we serve organizations across the United States and Canada and are very proud of the work we have delivered.
Our First Dedicated Vertical: The Nonprofit Practice
As our organization and client base grew, so did the need for specialization. In 2015, we officially launched our first dedicated vertical. We had a growing number of Nonprofit clients with a similar use case: fundraising. We quickly built a team of Nonprofit industry experts who understood the specific needs of these clients. This practice became the fastest-growing segment of our business, leading our firm to expand across the United States and Canada.
Today, our Nonprofit practice represents the largest segment of our customers across North America. We’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most amazing organizations.
The Future: We’re Just Getting Started
The future looks extremely bright for Belmar, and we believe our best days are ahead of us. We have completed our 1,250th project, and our customer base continues to utilize the capabilities of our team.
We are just at the start of the AI revolution, and our customers are relying on Belmar, just as they have for the past 15 years, to deliver uncompromised value built on trust and our ability to execute.
As we look to the future, we are inspired by the work our clients are doing, and we will continue to be aligned with helping them execute their missions.
